In PCE, every year we celebrate Shivaji Jayanti as the birth anniversary of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on 19th February i.e. Phalgun Krishna Paksha Tritiya.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on 19th February, 1630 in Shivneri Fort, Maharashtra, India. Today, he is regarded as both a great warrior and civil administrator specially for youth.
On this day students play cymbals and drums during a procession on the occasion. Faculties and students raise flags and dress up in costume of Chhatrapati Shivaji as a tribute to Shivaji Maharaj.
